PUBLIC NOTICE

INVITATION FOR BIDS NOTICE (11/5/2024)

Separate sealed bids for the Quail to Cottam Pump Stations Project will be received by Washington County Water Conservancy District at its office (533 East Waterworks Drive, St. George, Utah 84770) until 2:00 pm MST on Tuesday, November 26, 2024. At that time, bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.

The project consists of the construction of two new potable water booster pump stations with a pumping capacity of 4,500 gallons per minutes each, a new 100,000 gallon reinforced concrete storage tanks, a below-grade flow control valve vault, and a number of associated site improvements.

Contractors bidding on this project must have experience in the construction of potable water storage tanks and potable water booster pump stations. The Supplemental General Conditions of the contract specify the minimum experience requirements for bidders. Bidders that do not meet these requirements or that do not submit the required information pertaining to previous experience will be considered non-responsive.

mandatory pre-bid meeting and site visit will be held on November 13, 2024 at 8:30 am MST. The meeting will begin at the Quail Creek Water Treatment Plant located at 270 N 5300 W in Hurricane, UT and will include a visit to both pump station sites. In total, the pre-bid meeting is expected to take approximately 2 hours. Any bidder not attending the pre-bid meeting will be considered non-responsive.

Copies of the contract documents and specifications are available for free via email; printed copies are available for $50 per set at 20 North Main, Suite 107, St. George, Utah 84770. Provide at least two day’s notice to the engineer if printed copies are requested.
